Project Background
The main valuable mineral in the customer’s location is molybdenite. Among the non-metallic minerals, there is a relatively high content of quartz, and the gangue minerals are severely altered. The process flow of this beneficiation plant consists of one rough selection, two sweeping selections and four fine selections. The molybdenum grade of the raw ore is 0.38%. In recent years, due to the increase in mining depth, the properties of the ore have changed, and the flotation indicators are poor, resulting in a significant loss of molybdenum metal.

Introduction to Molybdenum Mine
Molybdenum is a metallic element discovered relatively late. It was not extracted from molybdenite by a Swedish chemist until 1792. Due to the advantages of high strength, high melting point, corrosion resistance and wear resistance of metallic molybdenum, it has been widely utilized in industry.

In recent years, due to the increase in mining depth, the properties and quality of the ore have changed, and the flotation indicators are poor, resulting in a significant loss of molybdenum metal. Later, after on-site investigation and analysis, Bailing Machinery determined the cause of the problem and conducted multiple tests to determine the final process: first grinding of raw ore, first rough selection, first rough fine selection, first re-grinding of rough concentrate, third sweeping selection, and seven fine selections after re-grinding, achieving better indicators.
