Common phosphate minerals include apatite, collophanite. The concentrate grade can be around 31% and MgO content is below 1.5%. At present, the most popular way for phosphate ore is double reverse flotation technology. First to remove carbonate,and then silicate, which only need once flotation process. Generally, it uses fatty acid and amine reagents as the chemical agents.


Phosphate beneficiation production line can be applied to the production of apatite and collophanite.

Technology Advantage

Generally it adopts one closed-circuit two process crushing, one closed-circuit grinding, and double reverse flotation technology.
The detailed process is as follows: the raw material is send to the rough crusher by the vibrating feeder, then to the fine crusher. After that, the raw material comes to screen, at this process, the material on the screen(big granules) will go back to the fine crusher for a second crushing. And the material below the screen is acceptable product which can be transferred to the fine ore bin. Under the bin there should be a feeder, the fine ore is send to the ball mill by the belt conveyor. And further, the material goes to the spiral classifier, also the big granules are send back to the mill for a second grinding. The material in the spiral classifier overflows and goes to first-stage reverse flotation process, then to the second-stage reverse flotation process. After that, material in the below of the flotation cell is the final concentrate ore, which is sent to the setting pond. And tailings from the first and second reverse flotation are dehydrated together in the setting pond and sent to the tailing pond in the end.

Production Instance

A 150TPD collophane production line in Yunan, SW of China. This project has high efficiency by adopting the above technical process. After stable production, the grade of phosphorus concentrate is more than 30%, the comprehensive metal recovery rate is 70% or more, which has huge economic benefits.
